Boys still suck

Man, men are in the shit hole this week I guess.

Okay on my son's science experiment. It's titled THE MEAT TORTURE EXPERIMENT

He took 4 clear containers, and did this
cup1 put 1/3 cup water and two teaspoons salt in it
cup 2 1/3 cup cold coffee
cup 3 1/3 cup vinegar
cup 4 1/3 cup coca cola

Then he put in a chunk of deer stew meat and we put lids on them. Each day we get them off the shelf and open then and he documents any changes. It actually is pretty neat so far. I'm just glad I talked him out of doing one of the cups with milk. Oh yeah I wanna open milk and red meat after a week. Ummm NO!!!

Today I got an e-mail from his language arts teacher. I saw on the internet sight that he had an F in there, and I told him he better fix it. He told me he was missing a couple assignments and was gonna fix it. Any how...she e-mailed me. He is actually missing 8 assignments. That he was given time in class to do, and never did. She also told him to do the final draft of two yup TWO essays here at home on his voice writing program. She told him over a week ago about all of this.

Has he brought anything home?? NO
Has he tried to get caught up at all?? HELL NO
Was he in some of the biggest trouble of his young life?? YOU BET YOUR RUBY RED HAIRY ASS HE WAS.

So...he did get one essay done tonight, he just needs to check a flash drive out from the school and bring it home and load it. He swears he turned in the other essay. Swears it. I told him to fix it tomorrow. And he is grounded till the 8 other assignments make it home and he gets them done. When he gets grounded it's from friends and games. video games, computer games the such...those are his love. Then if he continues to piss me off, he gets grounded from T.V. and then his stereo gets taken away. So far he's only ever gone without games for about a month and t.v. for just over a week.

Now his friend Big J... he's gone two months, no friends, no t.v., no games, no music, not able to come out of his room cept for dinner and school, and no toys, just a book is all. I told kiddo if he didn't straighten up I could start punishing him that way.

Well he came to me at bed time and got a list of everything he has to get tomorrow. I think it's gonna get done and in by monday at the latest.

Anyhow, that's my boy issue for today. Gigantor might give me one tomorrow. hahahahaha

Okay I'm going.

Have a good Thursday everyone!!!

Burfica if it helps, this also happened to us several times actually when Cam was in Junior High. We did the exact same thing you did but we were even meaner! LOL We grounded him, he got caught up then we still kept half of the grounding (length) he was all "But WHY? I got it all done?" And I told him "Because, you did it in the first place!"
I would love to tell you he never did it again. (sigh) he did but not as bad or frequent.
I feel for ya. Gigantor better watch out! Heh heh hee!!!

With boys you have to give them incentives to get things done. Promise him that if he gets all his work done and passes everything you will take him downtown and get him a blow-job from a hooker. It would work for me. I might even win the Nobel Prize in Literature.

Seems all kids try this at some point. I would do exactly the same thing. How old is Kiddo?

And Coffeypot? Yeah, right, lol.

Oh my sounds like here, we went through a bit of the same thing. Nick was missing his vocabulary in Spanish. He finally got it in today. but it was like pulling teeth. I guess it is a 13 year old thing. Your son is about the same age isn't he? They just would rather play than do school work, yeh right who wouldn't, haha.

Oh, man, sounds like your son is a challenge at the moment. Good luck.

The meat experiment kind of sounds like fun!!

I love when I'm going over my old posts and find old readers that still blog. There's not many that have been doing it this long. Good to see you're still at it.

First of all, that photo is too funny! LOL.
I did a meat experiment in grade eight. I can't remember how it turned out, but it was loads of fun. Well, my mother was not thrilled about the rotting meat, but it was a school assignment...
When Kayla was in grade 9, all of her classes were a struggle. I know her VP by his first name and we were pretty tight for awhile. lol. He is a great VP and he was very understanding. We were lucky.
She is in grade 12 now and there is still the `lost`paper here and there, but it has gotten SO much better.
I threatened her with boarding and or private school. The thought of leaving all of her friends was just too much. We could never in a million years afford either, but it scared her straight!

I remember pulling similar shit in school when I was his age. I don't think I ever went a week without TV though. I don't think I could... ;)
